Willow Theatre To Host Open House

Ever wonder how the Willow Theatre manages to produce events that offer wonderful entertainment while creating memories? Your chance to learn is coming. On Sunday, Aug. 2 from 11 a.m-2 p.m. visitors can receive a tour of the theater during its open house. 

As part of the free event, the Theatre will preview the show lineup for the upcoming 2026-27 season. The season opens with Last of the Red Hot Lovers on Nov. 6, and includes performances of at least six more productions through March. 

Open house attendees will have the opportunity to tour the theater's seating layout, allowing them to choose their best seats. Returning ticket holders can renew their season tickets, while new patrons can also purchase tickets. 

Visitors will be entertained with live music by Kayla Frey. 

The Willow Theatre is located inside Sugar Sand Park's community center.

Last of the Red Hot Lovers - Nov. 6-15
Fri, Sat at 7 p.m.; Sat, Sun 1 p.m.
Barney Cashman is 47, happily married, the father of three children, a successful businessman, and a man going through a midlife crisis. Barney has come to the realization that his whole life can be summed up in one word: nice. And Barney has realized that “nice” simply isn’t enough. He wants to experience his secret fantasies and dreams at least once, and so Barney decides to have an affair. He tries not just once, but three times, with three different women, and each time, something prevents the affair from happening. In the end, Barney returns to the familiar and invites his wife up to the apartment where he has been rendezvousing with the other women. Neil Simon’s Last of the Red Hot Lovers examines what it means to grow older, and asks the question, “What do you do when it seems as if your life hasn’t been fully lived?” Performance is 120 minutes with two 10-minute intermissions. Rated R.

Sinatra vs. Roselli - Nov. 20-22
Fri, Sat at 7 p.m.; Sat, Sun 1 p.m.
A story of the personal and musical feud between Frank Sinatra and Jimmy Roselli, which was famous in the annals of the entertainment business. Learn about the mob ties and the nightclub industry of the ‘40s through the ‘90s under their control. Featuring Sinatra’s Great American Songbook and Roselli’s Italian classics. Performance is 90 minutes with a 15-minute intermission. Rated PG-13.

A Human Being Died That Night - Dec. 4-20
Fri, Sat at 7 p.m.; Sat, Sun 1 p.m.
Adapted for the stage by Nicholas Wright from Gobodo-Madikizela’s best-selling 2003 book, this taut cross-examination is in the words of The Guardian “a scorching look at Apartheid guilt” in a deeply wounded South Africa, and the pained negotiations between past and future in a country aching to move on. Performance is 80 minutes. Rated R.

To Life 7: The Grand Finale - Jan. 15-31
Fri, Sat at 7 p.m.; Sat, Sun 1 p.m.
The popular series returns to the Willow Theatre with more stories and music celebrating the contributions of Jewish composers and artists to Broadway and the great Hollywood musicals. It features amusing anecdotes, fascinating facts, and stunning performances honoring the composers and entertainers who created and performed in such iconic productions as Oklahoma, My Fair Lady, Guys and Dolls, Hello Dolly, Fiddler on the Roof, Milk and Honey, and many more. Performance is 90-minutes with no intermission. Rated G.

Now and Then - Feb 12-21
Fri, Sat at 7 p.m.; Sat, Sun 1 p.m.
Now and Then is a heartfelt dramatic comedy by Sean Grennan. Set in 1981, it follows Jamie, an aspiring musician working as a bartender. Just before closing, a mysterious older man enters, offering Jamie and his girlfriend $2,000 each to sit and talk with him, triggering an unbelievable encounter about choices, regret, and love. Performance is 120 minutes with a 15-minute intermission. Rated PG-13.

Bette Midler Tribute: Bathhouse to Broadway - Feb. 26-March 8

Back by popular demand! An exciting tribute to Bette Midler. Immerse yourself in an unforgettable tribute to the legendary Bette Midler, the one and only Divine Miss M! Featuring a dynamic blend of powerful songs and engaging stories, the performance stars the talented Shelley Keelor alongside two other extraordinary actresses, accompanied by a lively trio of musicians.
