Jolly Good Time!

Gumbo Limbo Aglow! – one of the year's most anticipated holiday events – is four times better this year.

Rather than glowing only one night, Gumbo Limbo will be Aglow! on four consecutive Fridays – each with a different theme.

The first night already occurred. To aid attendees whose wallets may have been a little light from holiday shopping, the Dec. 12 Aglow! offered discounted entry frees for everyone. Attendees at the Dec. 19 Aglow! will be treated to a cookie party featuring cookies baked at a local gourmet bakery.

The final two Aglow's take the fun up a notch. With the Dec. 26 Aglow! being the day after Christmas, and realizing that many people are worn out from holiday festivities and simply want to spend the day after Christmas in their pajamas, Gumbo Limbo Aglow! will be the site of a pajama party - with attendees being encouraged to wear their favorite PJs to the event. For the final installment of Aglow!, held on Jan. 2, Gumbo Limbo will be the debut of The “Luna” New Year complete with a unique ball drop. It will be similar to the ball drop in Times Square, but instead of a giant lit mirror ball, this ball will be food for the fish inside Gumbo's large tanks, and it will be dropped into the tank – potentially sparking a feeding frenzy.

All Gumbo Limbo Aglow! events are part of the Boca Jolly Days celebrations and will occur between 6-9 p.m.

• A production of The Snow Queen at Sugar Sand Park's Willow Theatre (Sunday, Dec. 21 at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.)
• Make It, Take It, Gift It: DIY Workshop For Kids at the Sugar Sand community center (Tuesday, Dec. 23 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.)
• Jolly Jamboree at the Sugar Sand community center (Friday, Dec. 26, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.)
• Do You Want To Paint A Snowman? at the Sugar Sand community center (Saturday, Dec 27, 11 a.m., 1 p.m. or 3 p.m.)
• Noon Year's Eve Party at the Sugar Sand community center (Dec. 31, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.)
